Privacy Policy

Ahem is a reminder app made by an independent developer, Qijing Wang, based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information Ahem uses, why, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain.

In short: Ahem works without an account and keeps your reminders on your device. If you choose to sign in, your reminders are synced through our cloud database so they appear on your other devices. We don't show ads, we don't track you, and we never sell your data.

1. Using Ahem without an account

Your Ahems (titles, descriptions, times and repeat settings), your history, your settings and any sounds you record or upload are stored only on your device. Notifications are scheduled by your phone's operating system. We cannot see this information.

2. If you sign in to sync

Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we store:

• Account details – a user ID and, if your provider shares it, your name and e-mail address. With “Hide My Email”, Apple gives us a relay address instead.
• Your Ahems and history – the content you create, so it can sync to your other devices.
• Settings – such as language and theme.
• Your own sounds – audio files you recorded or uploaded, if you use them with sync.

This data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage), hosted in the London region (europe-west2). Google acts as our data processor. We use this data only to provide sync and never for advertising.

3. Purchases

Ahem Pro is sold through the App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google process your payment; we never receive your card details. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether your purchase is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID (or your Ahem user ID if you are signed in) and purchase information from the store, such as product, dates and status.

4. Microphone and files

Ahem only uses the microphone when you choose to record your own notification sound, and only while you are recording. Files you choose to upload are copied into Ahem for use as a notification sound. On Android, your sounds are saved to the Notifications folder so the system can play them.

5. What we don't do

• No advertising and no advertising IDs.
• No analytics or tracking SDKs, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
• We do not sell or share your personal data.
• We do not use your content to train AI models.

6. Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process account and sync data to provide the service you asked for (contract), and purchase data to provide Ahem Pro and meet legal obligations such as tax records.

7. How long we keep data

Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall Ahem. Synced data stays until you delete your account, after which it is removed from our systems within 30 days (backups may take up to a further 30 days to expire). Purchase records are kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat as required by law.

8. Your rights and choices

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. You can delete your account at any time in Ahem (Settings → your account card → Delete account) or by following these steps. To make any other request, e-mail us at support@getahem.app. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

9. International transfers

Our service providers (Google and RevenueCat) may process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Children

Ahem is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app.

1. 不登录使用

你的 Ahem（标题、描述、时间和重复设置）、历史记录、设置以及你录制或上传的提示音只保存在你的设备上，通知由手机系统安排。我们看不到这些信息。

2. 登录并同步

登录是可选的。如果你使用 Apple 或 Google 登录，我们会保存：

• 账号信息——用户 ID，以及登录服务提供的姓名和邮箱（使用 Apple“隐藏邮件地址”时，我们只会收到转发地址）。
• 你的 Ahem 和历史记录——用于同步到你的其他设备。
• 设置——例如语言和主题。
• 你自己的提示音——你录制或上传并用于同步的音频文件。

这些数据存储在 Google Firebase（身份验证、Cloud Firestore 和 Cloud Storage）的伦敦区域（europe-west2），Google 作为我们的数据处理方。我们只将这些数据用于同步，绝不用于广告。

3. 购买

Ahem Pro 通过 App Store 和 Google Play 销售，付款由 Apple 和 Google 处理，我们不会接触你的银行卡信息。我们使用 RevenueCat 确认购买是否有效；RevenueCat 会收到一个匿名的 App 用户 ID（如已登录，则为你的 Ahem 用户 ID）以及商店提供的购买信息，例如商品、日期和状态。

4. 麦克风和文件

只有当你选择录制自己的提示音时，Ahem 才会在录音期间使用麦克风。你选择上传的文件会复制到 Ahem 中用作提示音。在 Android 上，你的提示音会保存到“通知铃声”文件夹，以便系统播放。

5. 我们不会做的事

• 没有广告，不使用广告标识符。
• 没有统计分析或追踪 SDK，不跨 App 或网站追踪你。
• 不出售或分享你的个人数据。
• 不使用你的内容训练 AI 模型。

6. 保存期限

设备上的数据会一直保留，直到你删除它或卸载 Ahem。同步数据会保留到你删除账号为止，删除后 30 天内从我们的系统中移除（备份可能还需最多 30 天过期）。购买记录由 Apple、Google 和 RevenueCat 依法保存。

7. 你的权利

你可以访问、更正、导出或删除你的数据，也可以反对或限制我们使用它。你可以随时在 Ahem 中删除账号（设置 → 账号卡片 → 删除账号），或按照这些步骤操作。其他请求请发邮件至 support@getahem.app。如对处理结果不满意，你可以向英国信息专员办公室（ico.org.uk）投诉。

8. 跨境传输

我们的服务提供商（Google 和 RevenueCat）可能在英国以外（例如美国）处理数据，并采用英国国际数据传输附录或标准合同条款等适当保障措施。

9. 儿童

Ahem 不面向 13 岁以下儿童，我们不会有意收集儿童的个人数据。
